Her Voice News
Lagos, Nigeria – July 2025
In the heart of Mosan-Okunola LCDA, a quiet revolution is taking place one led by a woman whose leadership style blends vision, empathy, and action. Hon. Princess Olabisi Adebajo, the Executive Chairman of the Local Council Development Area, is steadily earning her place as a trailblazer in community-centered governance.
In an exclusive chat with Her Voice News, the soft-spoken yet determined leader reflected on her passion for public service and the work her administration has accomplished.
“I’ve always carried a deep desire to serve and uplift the people around me,” she shared. “It’s incredibly fulfilling to now see lives changing, communities developing, and hope returning to places that once felt forgotten.”
Since assuming office, Princess Adebajo has championed projects that speak directly to the heart of the people. Her leadership is not driven by titles or applause but by results visible, tangible results.
Some of Her Landmark Achievements Include:
Transformative Road Projects: Entire communities now enjoy better mobility, with major roads constructed and rehabilitated, connecting neighborhoods and unlocking economic potential.
Empowerment Programs: Women, youths, and small-scale entrepreneurs have received training, tools, and startup capital to rebuild their livelihoods and dreams.
Healthcare Revival: From dilapidated to dignified local health centers have been upgraded, equipped, and staffed to meet the rising needs of residents.
Administrative Excellence: The newly commissioned two-storey council secretariat, equipped with modern facilities, has brought efficiency, structure, and pride to local governance.
But for Princess Adebajo, leadership goes beyond infrastructure.
“True development starts and ends with people,” she noted. “If our policies don’t touch lives, then they’ve missed the point.”
When asked what legacy she hopes to leave behind, her answer was clear:
“I envision a Mosan-Okunola where healthcare is accessible, education is prioritized, and every child, especially the girl child, sees leadership as a possibility not a privilege.”
She also had strong words of encouragement for young women aspiring to enter politics:
“Step out boldly. Let no one dim your light. Equip yourself with knowledge, stay grounded in your values, and never be afraid to take up space. Leadership is not about being perfect it’s about being present, prepared, and purposeful.”
As political tides shift and the demand for meaningful governance grows, Hon. Olabisi Adebajo stands as a refreshing example of what grassroots leadership should look like focused, fearless, and fiercely committed to her people.
