Her Voice News
In a world where women are often told to follow rather than lead, Barr. Chief Abimbola Badia Jack-Oladugba has built a life and career that proves otherwise. A lawyer, mediator, property consultant, and humanitarian, she has risen above cultural barriers and societal expectations to leave her mark in law, politics, and community service.
Speaking with Her Voice News, Barr. Abimbola shared how her passion for advocacy began during her university days when she was posted to an orphanage in Benin City. “I’ve always loved to be a voice for the weak and the voiceless,” she explained, recalling her early exposure to the struggles of vulnerable people in her community.
But her journey hasn’t been without obstacles. From balancing marital commitments and family responsibilities to confronting societal rejection rooted in outdated traditions, she admits that the path was never easy. “In this part of the world, women face countless barriers. But I overcame them by staying positive, focused, and refusing to be distracted,” she emphasized.
Today, Barr. Abimbola stands as a seasoned professional: Principal Partner of J.B. Abimbola Chambers, CEO of Ollybim Hotels and Suites, Director of Ollybim Royal Properties, and Chairperson of FIDA Nigeria, Lagos Chapter. She is also the Founder and National President of Female Lawyers in Politics, a platform encouraging women to step into leadership.
When asked about the legacy she hopes to leave, her words were clear: “I wish to have a positive impact on every woman and girl I meet, especially in their career and marriage. My advice is simple be intentional, disciplined, and never run away from leadership roles. It requires sacrifice, patience, and commitment, but women are capable of much more than society often admits.”
Her story is not just about her personal success it’s about paving the way for women to rise, lead, and inspire.
